The lathe
Build your bowl — one species all the way through.
Turned from a single solid block: thin at the rim, left a little heavier at the base so it sits still, and finished with food-safe oil and wax. Walnut, maple or cherry — the grain runs through the wall and out the bottom.

Size & wood
Turned between 6 and 20 in across, and 3 to 20 in deep. A wider, deeper bowl takes more stock and far more time on the lathe, so the price climbs by the inch with it.
Warm honey to chocolate, deepening with light and age.
